Project Goals

Design an IndyCar Livery that promoted MotoGator and associate sponsor Lucas Oil for the Indianapolis 500 race

With the Indianapolis 500 being the crown jewel of IndyCar Racing, and a Historic race, Team Stange needed a Livery that not only stood out in the crowd, but promoted their Sponsors (MotorGator, Lucas Oil and Fuel Battery).

RPM-3D, was hired by Team Stange to design a livery that replicated the MotorGator Brand and looked good on the track.  RPM-3D came up with a “Gator skin” that coverd the top half of the car and then turned to black for better Sponsor visibility.  Using 2D and 3D knowleage that RPM-3D is known for, Not only did the livery turn out great, but RPM-3D was also hired to create a “Special INDY500 product design”.

MotoGator has a lubicant product that they wanted to showcase at the Indy500 in conjunction with their race entry.  RPM-3D was tasked with branding the product with a special can design.  Use Elements from the Livery Design, and the essential “Racing Elements” and put in all in a Can.  RPM-3D delivered and the Car and Product Can designs were instant hits at the Indianapolis 500.  Team Stange and sponsors were very happy with the timely manner and outcome of partnering with RPM-3D for this historic project.

Team Stange has returned to RPM-3D as a client many times over the years, but this project in particular was very special to everyone involved.
